The Trap Grounds

Wet woodland & willow carrReedbedWet grassland & floodplain meadow

A compact but highly productive wetland reserve within Oxford. Reed Warbler and Sedge Warbler breed each summer, Water Rail is often present, and Kingfisher uses the ponds. In winter, the alder draws Siskin and Redpoll flocks, while the meadows host Meadow Pipit and occasionally Stonechat.

Its accessibility and consistent productivity make it a valued urban wildlife site.
