Chalk grasslandScrub

Hartslock is a steep chalk slope known for orchids but also offering excellent birding. Meadow Pipit, Whitethroat and Linnet use the grassland and scrub, while raptors glide over the valley. Spring and early summer can be productive for migrant species moving along the Thames corridor below.

The elevated vantage points make this a peaceful, scenic location suitable for long scanning sessions.
