Chimney Meadows NR

Wet grassland & floodplain meadowRiver corridor

Chimney Meadows is one of Oxfordshire's largest restored floodplain reserves and a key area for wetland biodiversity. Winter floods attract Wigeon, Teal, Lapwing and Golden Plover, often in excellent numbers. In summer, warblers, Curlew, Skylark and Reed Bunting occupy the meadow systems, while raptors such as Red Kite, Buzzard and Marsh Harrier hunt overhead.

The landscape feels open, expansive and tranquil, with an extensive footpath network ideal for surveying different habitat compartments across the site.
